Grounded: A Breath and Clay Experience

  • The Gladwin Center 4105 W Liberty Rd Ann Arbor, MI 48103 United States (map)

Join us for a restorative afternoon designed to bring you back to yourself.
In Grounded: A Breath and Clay Experience, you’ll explore the powerful connection between creativity and regulation — learning how nervous system support plays a vital role in stress relief, hormonal balance, and circadian rhythm health.

We’ll move through gentle breathwork and guided education on nervous system healing, followed by a hands-on pottery session where your creative process becomes a pathway to grounding. No experience with clay or breathwork needed — just bring your curiosity, your breath, and your beautiful presence.

Please bring a yoga mat and a cozy blanket for the breathwork portion.
A light snack will be provided to nourish you along the way.

This is more than a workshop — it’s a return to rhythm, a reconnection with your body, and a reminder that healing can be both tangible and joyful.

About the Potter:
Jennifer Cooper of JLC Pottery brings a lifelong passion for clay to her work, having fallen in love with the medium at age 10. For Jennifer, creating with clay is both a therapeutic practice and a form of connection — a dance that honors the process as much as the final piece. Her handmade ceramics are crafted with intention, inviting daily use through thoughtful design that prioritizes touch, comfort, and beauty. Rooted in themes of social justice, cultural patterns, and evolving surface techniques, Jennifer’s work is both grounded and ever-evolving, offering a sensory experience that brings joy to the everyday.
